Durgo Cultural Associate (DCA) has successfully rounded up to the F.Y. 2021-2022 adhering to its workaholic heritage and style. Durgo Cultural Associate is a non-government, apolitical, not-for-profit, secular, voluntary organization which dedicates itself for the social welfare and economic empowerment of the oppressed, and marginalized sections (especially women, unemployed youth, children, persons with disabilities and land less labourers) of the Rural West Bengal. DCA has made deep channels into the socio economic life of the vulnerable, trying to build social pillar under the fast emerging global economy. It has been adopting various need based and right based interventions to address the existing problems and sufferings of the common rural Indians.

GENESIS
Durgo Cultural Associate is a rural community-based voluntary organization based at Kajipara village under Chinshurah-Mogra Block in Hooghly District being not-for-profit, apolitical and secular in nature. The voluntary organization was formed in the year 2002 with an aim to provide relief and succour to the helpless, underprivileged, deprived, wretched, poorest of the poor and have not’s sections of the society. The Voluntary organization got its legal status in the year 2002-2003 when it was registered under West Bengal Societies Registration XXVI Act of 1961.
OUR OBJECTIVE
- To make sincere efforts for a sustainable development for the disadvantaged community with special focus on women, children and the persons in need.
- To work towards the Empowerments of women.
- To undertake skill development through Vocational Training among the youths.
- To create awareness to Environmental degradation and restoration.
- To campaign against the vicious quagmire of prevailing social curses and superstitions.
- To arrange for appropriate training and education for the target group to achieve sustainable livelihood.

FUTURE PLAN OF ACTION
- Establishment of home for the destitute and distressed Women.
- Establishment of Orphanage for Children.
- Establishment of an Old Age Home for the Women/aged widows.
- Sponsorship of the orphan children for their holistic development.
- To work for awareness generation and amelioration of sufferings of the people affected by STD/HIV/AIDS.
- To work for the Physically Challenged .
- Establishment of Technical training school for youths.
- Establishment of rehabilitation centre for the sex workers.
- Establishment of a dispensary and diagnostic centre for the Poor.
